Vehicle Description What we have here, is a 1930 Ford Tudor, street rod, cloaked in vibrant yellow.
This car was brought to me in 2004, as a farm fresh shell sitting on a Pete and Jakes chassis, with instructions to finish it.
Needless to say, I know this car, and it's a good one.
The Tudor clocked only 1288 miles from completion in 2005 till it came home in 2020.
There are a few minor scuffs in the paint, but mostly it looks like the day it was delivered.
The interior looks near new.
Power is from a 502 BBC (iron head), dated 2007.
This isn't the engine from the original build.
Runs strong.
Flushed the cooling system, changed the oil, no issues.
Transmission is a TH400, with a Lokar shifter.
Fluid is clear and it operates perfectly.
Rear end is an 8 Ford housing with a fresh 3.
00:
1 limited slip.
Axle bearings and seals are new as well.
New brake shoes and hardware installed.
The chassis is from Pete and Jakes.
Every urethane bushing in the chassis has been replaced with parts from Pete and Jakes.
The original Vega steering box was ditched in favor of a Unisteer half rack.
Master cylinder is new (manual, disc/drum).
The body is 92 year old Henry steel, except the rear fenders.
The firewall and floors are heavy gauge steel, with a layer of dynamat.
The roof is fiberglass filled, over new oak bows.
and vinyl clad.
All the glass was new bronze tinted, in perfect condition.
Paint is two part urethane, cut and buffed over smooth panels.
It really pops in the sunlight! The fuel tank is fabricated from stainless sheet, and decorated to resemble a Trunk.
On the inside, bucket seats trimmed in vinyl, face a mahogany dash, sporting Dolphin gauges.
Overhead is a mahogany console for the stereo.
A matching wood wheel is mounted to a GM tilt column.
A/C sports a new compressor and expansion valve, blows cold.
The car runs and drives amazingly well, ready for the next cruise night or local show.
