Market Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
A Market Manager is responsible for delivering superior financial and sales results while leading the Company's market presence in the local community. This individual is responsible for outbound business calling and managing a team of retail associates providing clients consultative advice. Responsible to lead the activities of branch profitability with particular emphasis on loan and core deposit growth while maintaining expense control.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
College degree in a financial related discipline or 1-5+ years in bank managerial experience and/or Retail Business/Department Manager with previous sales experience.
Working Business Acumen and Financial Literacy in Retail Banking.
Able to proactively lead, manage, motivate and coach associates to produce desired results.
Proficient in all lending products and maintains an active NMLS registration status.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Operations
o Responsible for personnel administration to include hiring, training and development, schedule over-sight, corrective action and performance management.
o Responsible for sustainable revenue growth, asset quality and profitability.
o Resolves more difficult customer objections, and solves problems in a positive manner to retain the customer relationship.
o Seeks Senior/Executive management guidance on complex financial matters and responds to management direction.
o Adheres to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.
o Ensure branch is compliant with Banking Regulations.
o Ensures all safety and security procedures are followed.
o Able to effectively discuss, process and close all types of lending products.
o Works with team to effectively manage the branch "book of business" for expanding existing relationships.
o Maintain a professional branch appearance, adhering to the Marketing department guidelines.
o Coordinate, develop and implement branch action plan and realign as needed to meet specific performance goals.
Sales & Quality Customer Experience
o Provides an exceptional customer experience by adhering to the Standards for Excellence in Customer Service (separate document).
o A focus on significant relationships for retention, expansion and acquisition.
o Measures self against standard of excellence.
o Exhibits good listening skills and speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
o Able to balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to bank.
o Grow capabilities of branch associates by providing coaching and guidance as well as developing individual career plans to foster a true sales culture.
o Actively building market share, wallet share and developing opportunities using a planned outbound business calling strategy.
o Maintain active leadership role in the community and will be recognized as a community leader (i.e. Project leader, board member, event chair, etc.) Leverage these opportunities for business expansion while understanding importance of return on investment (ROI).
Team Engagement
o Provide leadership to associates in order to align tasks to meet daily objectives.
o Maintains product line proficiency utilizing all educational/training resources available and creates specific associate development plans with the goal of creating cross-trained, "universal" bankers.
o Provides sales coaching and guidance to associates in recognizing referral opportunities to other line of business partners.
o Build and sustain a team of retail associates who are capable of delivering consultative sales results and proper risk management.
o Develops trusting & cooperative working relationships with customers and associates. Contributes to a positive working environment.
o Actively participates in bank wide initiatives.
o Mentors and coaches others while providing constructive feedback to increase overall effectiveness.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
