Rescue is seeking a Dog Handler to join our team! This position's days would be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, depending on need.
Handler may also be asked to occasionally fill in for additional shifts if other employees are on vacation.
The Dog Handler's primary responsibilities would include safely handling all temperaments of dogs while ensuring they receive daily exercise and enrichment as per set routines and protocols, as well as showing our adoptable dogs to interested adopters to help make the right match.
This role would also involve some light medical care, i.
e, the ability to administer medications and help restrain for medical procedures.
The Dog Handler role requires the ability to work well as part of a team of handlers, and physically demands the ability to handle frequent bending and kneeling, ability to work in a loud/chaotic environment, as well as the ability to carry upwards of 50lbs frequently.
Pay range is between $12 - $14, depending on level of previous experience in the field.
